  Sensors  
Sender Units

The VDO Kienzle (pulse) sender unit is the connecting element between the vehicle and the tachograph.
A range of different (pulse) sender units enables the translation of the rotary motion of the vehicles's gearbox takeoff (number of revolutions per unit of distance travelled) into electrical pulses.

VDO Kienzle also offers integrated (pulse) sender units in various screw-in depths for translation of the rpm of an impulse wheele or a toothed wheel into electrical pulses.

The integrated type of (pulse) sender unit provides vehicle manufacturers wtih a design alternative
   
 

  Adaptor Gearbox  
Angle Drive

In the case of tachographs with mechanical movements the rpm of the vehicle's gearbox takeoff (the number of revolutions per unit of distance travelled) must be adapted to the rations, or constants, of the instruments. Various adaptor boxes and angle drives are available for this purpose.
